Teaching Assistants

We have made changes to the way that Meadowside Teaching Assistants (TA) are operating this year to meet the school development plan and most TAs will no longer be attached to a single class. TAs will be involved in rapidly improving communication and language development in EYFS (Reception), Year 1 and Year 2 by supporting phonics and guided reading. 

TAs will deliver interventions across different classes, depending on the needs of the children and offer whole class support during core subjects. For many years, where teachers are on PPA time (Planning, Preparation, Assessment), TAs will teach the class. This will continue. 

The work TAs do at Meadowside is invaluable and the school would grind to a halt without their amazing work and support.

Midday Supervisors

Midday Supervisors play a vital role at Meadowisde. They provide the school with meal and play time supervision which helps the children gain social confidence. They are incredibly warm and kind people and we are very lucky to have them.
