Welcome to Meadowside
Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Meadowside is a very special primary school with a unique ‘family’ atmosphere where our school values are:
Aspirational, Environmental, Independence, Opportunistic, Understanding.
The school begins a new chapter in September 2025 as I have been appointed the new Headteacher!
Meadowside is a special, environmentally friendly school where everyone is valued, and children are at the heart of everything we do.
We continue to build a caring, safe environment where children achieve strong social and academic outcomes. We foster a love of learning and are aspirational for all. This is a school where children learn to become independent, curious learners and seize opportunities presented to them. Children show an understanding of difference and celebrate diversity. Governors and staff work together to challenge and celebrate as we create a school that we are proud of.
I am looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead and this is an exciting time to be part of our school. The Meadowside Family is unique, and I am privileged to lead us into the next exciting chapter as we continue to make a difference for our future.
Mr Port,

(Which song will you go to bed humming!?)498It’s been a musical fortnight at Meadowside. 🪘Last week, Years 2 and 5 had the privilege of a professional percussionist called John visit their classrooms and talk about instruments from around the world. The children learnt about Djembe and Goblet Drums from Morocoo as well as instruments from India, Morocco and South America. John played the instruments beautifully and the children (and adults!) had a great time dancing away and enjoying the music from around the world. 🪘 🎶Yesterday, our amazing Year 4s performed their Ukulele Recital to an audience of parents and carers after receiving several weeks of tuition
