About us

The Little Meadow Group offers educational and recreational stimulation to Pre-school and Rising 3’s and out-of-school activities for primary school children. When required we also support parents by running a holiday club.

We are a non-profit organisation and registered charity, we are fortunate to be well supported by our families and friends and run by a voluntary committee. We have seen significant growth since our humble beginnings. In 2000 Little Meadow Under 5’s was created, shortly followed by a Parent Toddler group, and more recently with the take-over and expansion of an out-of-school club. We work closely Meadowside Primary School, and work with the Reception teachers and staff to assist children prepare with the transition to the reception class of their chosen infant school

Committee and Staff run various fundraising activities each year to help us attain the finance required to maintain our facilities and resources. Working parties of willing volunteers periodically come in and help us to maintain, decorate and improve our building and garden/playgrounds. We could not operate without the support of our dedicated and fantastic group of volunteers who collectively form the Little Meadow Group committee. Meeting dates are publicised and parents encouraged to come and be involved . However, the level of involvement is at the comfort of the volunteer whether it is to be an active committee member or attend meetings and contribute ideas.

The Key Committee comprises of The Chair, Treasurer and Secretary and they meet monthly with the Group Manager to ensure the setting is meeting the needs of all those that attend to the highest standard.

Little Meadows also provide an After School and Holiday Club provision.

Our of School Club

Children from Reception class up to Year 6 are accompanied from the school premises to the Little Meadow Building every evening. Here they are provided with a choice of snack and a drink and have a wide range of activities to entertain them. Activities can include games consoles, craft activities and DVD’s.
