Welcome to Meadowside
Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. Meadowside is a very special primary school with a unique ‘family’ atmosphere where our school values are:
Aspirational, Environmental, Independence, Opportunistic, Understanding.
The school begins a new chapter in September 2025 as I have been appointed the new Headteacher!
Meadowside is a special, environmentally friendly school where everyone is valued, and children are at the heart of everything we do.
We continue to build a caring, safe environment where children achieve strong social and academic outcomes. We foster a love of learning and are aspirational for all. This is a school where children learn to become independent, curious learners and seize opportunities presented to them. Children show an understanding of difference and celebrate diversity. Governors and staff work together to challenge and celebrate as we create a school that we are proud of.
I am looking forward to the challenges that lay ahead and this is an exciting time to be part of our school. The Meadowside Family is unique, and I am privileged to lead us into the next exciting chapter as we continue to make a difference for our future.

Sadly, Year 6’s Rock and Rapid adventure is coming to an end. After wrestling sleeping bags into cases and finding homes for rogue socks, we hit the climbing centre and have spent all morning climbing, abseiling and bouldering. The children were in their element and it was wonderful to see so many of them stepping out their comfort zone to try something new. We are ready for an early lunch now before getting on the coach and heading back home to tell you all about it. Spoiler alert: it’s been amazing! ETA is currently 2.30 but we will keep you
101Well somehow we managed to avoid the storms that were forecast and had the best time ever raft building, canoeing and paddle boarding. Back at the bunkhouse we showered, chilled and devoured our BBQ food. We are now running around playing team games. Surely everyone is tired enough to get to sleep a little earlier tonight?!!
