Our aim is to build upon the foundations well laid before we ever meet the children. Parents know their children best and we try to establish a genuine partnership as soon as a child joins our school. Our Home-School Agreement describes how we see our roles. We do encourage parents/ carers (grandparents and others!) to come in and work with us as we recognise the invaluable skills and help others can offer.
Every parent is automatically a ‘friend’ of Meadowside: part of our family. We do have a group of volunteers who organise social and fund raising events to help make the school a special place. Our PTA (Parent and Teacher Association) is the ‘Friends of Meadowside’ and they organise and run fund raising and social events throughout the school calendar. They have their own Facebook page, where parents and carers can stay up to date with the latest events happening in school.
Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to know more or are interested in becoming a member. Alternatively, contact the school directly.
After the success of the fund raising and installation of the ‘Pirate Ship’ on the school field, we are now looking at improving the amphitheater, or use at play times and during curriculum time.
